I have a mixed emotions about this book, it was a good read but also a not a good read for me. This is my first YA Mystery Read and I was totally intrigued about it because it was one of the overhyped books in the Bookstagram Community. The ending was so bland and I didn’t like the closure of Skye’s story.Ĩ. It was kinda rush and it was not shocking or even exciting. I enjoyed the book tho but why this is on my disappointing read of 2017 list? I was so disappointed because I didn’t like the way the author revealed the Murderer in this book. I received an e-arc copy from netgalley and I was super-duper excited to read it since I’ve heard so many great things about Eileen Cook’s WITH MALICE. Guess what? It’s another YA MYSTERY book. Also I decided that I will not continue reading this series. Also it didn’t meet my expectations I can’t feel the magic in this book like any other fantasy books that I’ve read. I didn’t like the Romance that was going on in this book, I can’t feel the chemistry of the two main characters (it’s an INSTA-LOVE btw). But still I added this book to my Most Disappointing Read of 2017. To be honest, the plot twist was totally mind-blowing and I didn’t expect it to happen. Also these are my opinions, so I was hoping that you will respect it.
